I got all of your names/email addresses off of Rick Gaffney’s website (Son Set Consultants) where you were all quoted as being satisfied with the 9-year renewal program administered by Son Set Consultants.  The website comes across as very honest and personable.

I just wanted to double-check to assure myself that there were no hang-ups with AWS when you presented the certificates to them for renewal…there are three gentlemen in our department who are all up for renewal by June 1^st of 2012 and I need to make sure that I don’t lead them down a wrong road by recommending Son Set to accomplish the 80-hour requirement.  No one from our company has ever used Son Set before and I can’t afford for all three of these guys to have issues all at one time.

NOTED STATEMENT(i found the training from son set consultants to be very well presented,and informative.The training also makes studying convenient since it is self paced and accessible from anywhere that you have computer access.i also found rick very quick to respond to any questions that i had about the training.TD)
 
RICK i would like to recommend that the few faults that i found be corrected as to not confuse people that are seeking training prior to taking the cwi exam for the first time.note the 11/16 which you said was intended to be 1 1/16 IN THE PRACTICAL QUIZ,,and also that the aws has written 9 codes,and the training says 6.
I would like to tell you that other than those issues i really found your training helpful as most of  my training the last few months had to be done thru distance learning because of my job location.If you were to incorporate more questions relative to welder qualification,and preheat-interpass temps the training would be truly awesome for new trainees seeking certification.Once again feel free to use my noted statement in parenthesis above,and i am glad to have my certification,now onto api 1104,and other codes in the future.THANK YOU TROY DARNELL.

  I would like to comment on your online interactive 80 PDH of continued education training that I recently participated in. Due to the economy and budget cuts, training opportunities have become few and far between at my company. I started looking into different options for my 9 year renewal of my CWI when I ran across your web site. It did not take me long to figure out that this online training would not only serve my needs but the needs of my employer as well. It offered me the ability to train both at work and home at a very reasonable price. The cost savings alone on this very informative and up to date training is unreal when you figure in the fact that there is no need for expensive AWS seminars, travel to and from, as well as room and board. When I presented this option to my station manager and showed alternative options, it soon became quite obvious where the most bang for the buck was to be received! I hope someone reads this review and decides as I have that this program is without a doubt the way to go. My thoughts about your school are as follows. First is cost, the AWS class is about 3 times what it cost me to take your course. That does not include the hotel that AWS uses. Probably $700 for the week. The second is convenience. Home study is so convenient for self employed AWS CWI persons. Third, your course is a great review.Also it  contains more new material on many different inspection processes. I am very satisfied with all the things I learned. The AWS was satisfied with my diploma. I sent the application in on 12/6/10 and got my card 1/12/11.  Thank you, Rick Gaffney-Son Set Consultants
